The entire EziSYSTEM is built around a safety first way of thinking. Therefore, from the moment you switch on your EZiCAT locator you are in full sensitivity, ensuring you do not miss those deep buried cables and the locator always turns on in power mode. People often ask us why we switch on in power mode and the answer is simple, research has shown that the most damaging cables strikes occur when an operator hits a power cable; by switching on in power mode we are trying to minimize injury to you and your equipment.

The EZiCAT 100 unit is used for basic avoidance and location of cables and pipes buried in the ground. It is designed to help avoid damage to underground services during excavation and is an easy to operate, automatic location system, created with safety in mind.

It detects alternating (AC) electromagnetic signals radiated due to currents flowing in conductive buried services. The operator is given the location and direction of the underground service when the unit receives reradiated radio frequencies through internal aerials, which detect the strength and direction of the received signals.
